About Underscore Group
We help organisations build the capability, confidence, and skills to lead lasting business change through our Change Academy and Training Courses.
About Us
At Underscore Group, we help organisations strengthen both performance and change capability.
The Change Academy gives people the frameworks, mindset, and confidence to lead transformation, while our Corporate Training Courses build the practical skills that make it possible.
We deliver learning that connects strategy to action - helping teams collaborate, adapt, and achieve measurable results.

The Story of Underscore
Founded in 2016 by Jason West and Joe Ales, Underscore was built on real-world experience leading 70+ major business change programmes across HR, Finance, Procurement, and Operations.
After years of transformation work, they saw one simple truth: lasting change depends on people with the skills and confidence to deliver it.
That’s why Underscore was created — to help organisations build their own capability to lead change from within.
Today, the Change Academy and Training Services work together to help organisations across the UK build stronger teams, better leaders, and more adaptable cultures.

What Makes Us Different?
You’ve probably seen it before, consultants who charge a premium, deliver an impressive slide deck, then leave. You’re left to figure out how to make it a reality on your own. We’re here to change that.
From day one, we focus on helping your people build the skills, confidence, and practical know-how to make business change happen. Whether you need leadership development, business change expertise, or technical and digital skills, we’ll help your teams take ownership and embed change that lasts.
And we’re here for the long haul. Every training course includes 6 months of post-course support to help embed your learning. The Change Academy gives you access to an online community of change experts, tools, and resources to stay on track.
OUR MISSION
To help organisations like yours build teams with the capability and confidence to lead and sustain business change.
